How Stargate Started

"I started out following the traditional route — getting degrees in kinesiology to learn how to optimize the body, and biology/nursing to care for others physically. But pretty quickly, I realized the body can only be aided to a certain extent if the mind isn’t addressed, as well.

When I discovered how emotions and thoughts can manifest as physical symptoms, it changed everything for me. That’s when I found QHHT® and RTT® — powerful hypnosis methods that connect the subconscious to real-life challenges and open the door for transformation on every level: mind, body, and soul.

As I advanced in this field, I saw that each practitioner has their own unique strengths and specialties. That inspired me to create Stargate — a collective of dedicated hypnotherapists, each passionate about guiding people past their blocks and into their fullest potential.

At Stargate, we believe everyone has unique gifts to share. Our role is to help clear the patterns and beliefs that stand in the way, so you can step fully into the life you were always meant to live."

How RTT® Works

Developed by Marisa Peer, Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) gets to the root cause of challenges by working directly with the subconscious mind.

Instead of taking months or years, many clients notice lasting change in just one to three sessions as old beliefs are rewired into healthier patterns.

  • What is hypnotherapy and how does it work?
Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural way of working with your subconscious mind. In a deeply relaxed state, your mind becomes more open to exploring the root of challenges and creating new, healthier thought patterns.
  • Will I be asleep or under someone else’s control?
Not at all! This is a common misconception. You’ll be relaxed but fully aware the whole time. You’re always in control and can talk, move, or even end the session whenever you’d like.
  • What if I can’t be hypnotized?
Most people are pleasantly surprised at how natural the process feels. Hypnosis is simply a relaxed state of focus, something you already experience when daydreaming or getting lost in a good book. It's the deep relaxation you feel just before you fall asleep.
  • Will I remember what happens in the session?
Yes. You’ll be aware of what’s happening, and most people remember everything clearly afterward. Even if some details fade (like with a dream), the important insights and changes remain.
  • How long is a session?
Most sessions last between 2–3 hours. This allows enough time to: 1. Understand your goals 2. Talk about your life story 3. Relax deeply 4. Explore the root of the issue 5. Create new supportive beliefs
  • How many sessions do I need?
It depends on your goals. Most people notice lasting change after just one session, while others choose a series of 2–3 sessions to assist in more complex issues such as addiction and trauma. Your practitioner will help guide you based on your needs and be upfront with the amount of sessions they feel is best for your goal.
  • What does being in a session feel like?
Most people describe it as deeply relaxing, similar to meditation or guided visualization. In many cases, challenges we face today come from past experiences, which may be revisited during the session. While emotions can feel very real, you will not feel any physical sensations. Your practitioner is trained to support you through these moments and will never guide you anywhere you’re not comfortable going. Your mind naturally protects you, so you’ll only see and process what you’re ready for — with compassionate guidance every step of the way.
  • What do I need to do to prepare?
Preparation is simple, but it makes all the difference in your experience. Emotionally, come with an open mind and a willingness to explore. Trust that your subconscious already knows what needs healing, and your practitioner is here to guide you through it. For online sessions, you’ll also want to create a calm, undisturbed environment: Choose a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted. Make sure your WiFi is reliable. Have a webcam set up so your practitioner can see you throughout the session. Use headphones with a microphone for the clearest, most immersive experience. Sit or recline somewhere comfortable where you can fully relax. A little preparation ensures you’ll feel safe, supported, and fully present during your session.
  • How effective is virtual hypnosis compared to in-person?
Virtual hypnosis can be just as effective as in-person sessions. Many clients actually find it easier to relax at home in a familiar environment, which often supports the process. Research on telehealth in general shows that online sessions can provide outcomes comparable to face-to-face support for mental and behavioral health. While every person’s experience is unique, virtual hypnosis is a safe, convenient, and effective option for most people.
  • Is RTT® or hypnotherapy safe?
Yes — when conducted by trained, certified practitioners (like ours), hypnotherapy is safe and far from mind control or manipulation. You are never unconscious, asleep, or under anyone’s “control.” In fact, you remain fully aware of your surroundings and can stop the process at any time if you choose. During hypnosis, your mind enters a relaxed, focused state—similar to daydreaming. In this state, your subconscious is more open to positive suggestions and insights, but you are always in control. You cannot be made to say or do anything against your will. Sometimes, past experiences or emotions may surface during a session. While those feelings can feel very real, they are never physically harmful. Your practitioner is trained to support you with compassion and care, ensuring that you only go as far as you feel ready. Your mind also has a natural protective mechanism—you will never be forced to revisit something you cannot handle. For many, hypnotherapy feels deeply calming, safe, and even empowering, because it allows them to better understand themselves while creating lasting positive change. • Will I experience lasting changes?
Many clients notice positive changes after just one session, especially for focused issues like phobias, fears, past life regressions, or confidence blocks. More complex concerns—such as trauma, depression, addiction, or long-standing habits—may take two to three sessions for deeper, lasting results. It’s also important to know that your results don’t come just from the session itself — they’re reinforced through your personalized transformation audio recording. Listening to this daily for 21 days after your session is a vital part of the process, helping your subconscious solidify and integrate the new beliefs. By combining the session with your commitment to the audio, you’re giving yourself the strongest foundation for lasting change.
  • What kind of changes can I expect?
In RTT and hypnotherapy, we work on the deep subconscious level, rewiring old thought patterns and reframing limiting beliefs into supportive ones. The results can show up in two main ways: Immediate: Some clients feel a powerful shift right away — as if a weight has lifted or feel a "light bulb" moment. Gradual: Others notice small but steady changes over time, like choosing new habits naturally or reacting differently in situations that used to trigger them. Both timelines are completely normal. Your subconscious integrates new beliefs in the way that’s best for you, and lasting transformation continues to build as you listen to your personalized audio recording over 21 days.
